School Curriculum

Our school curriculum has been carefully developed to meet the needs of the children in Neville’s Cross Primary School and Nursery.  We recognise our duty to cover the statutory curriculum elements as defined in the EYFS curriculum, the National Curriculum and the Locally Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.  Alongside this, we have considered our community, our school vision and core values to ensure we offer a curriculum which engages, excites and develops the whole child.

Our ‘Curriculum’ is all the planned activities that are organised in order to promote learning, personal growth and development.  It includes not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum, but also the range of additional opportunities that we organise in order to enrich the experiences of our children.

Throughout the school, our classes work co-operatively to ensure appropriate curriculum coverage, progression and challenge within the context of both single and mixed age classes. Staff plan together and both teachers and teaching assistants are actively involved in the delivery of lessons and the assessment of children’s progress.

We have carefully considered the broad Intent, Implementation and Impact of our curriculum.  For more information please read the following document.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Neville’s Cross Primary School and Nursery, we believe that inclusive education means providing all pupils with appropriate education and support alongside their peers. The Curriculum is all the planned activities that the school organises in order to promote learning, personal growth and development. Further information can be found in the SEN Information Report and our Accessibility Plan.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
