Parent Teacher Association
All parents and staff are automatically members of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
The work of the PTA is guided and organised by the committee which is made up of volunteers. The PTA organise several fundraising and social events for the school throughout the year in which a wide range of parents, grandparents and friends help.
These include ‘Treat Days’, film nights, school discos, coffee afternoons, Winter and Summer Fairs.
There are several Christmas events planned to kick off the fundraising. These will include the recently reformed Neville’s Cross Choir singing carols in the yard and a Christmas raffle to be drawn in the final week of term.

For 2021-2022 the PTA is focussing on fundraising to improve the school’s IT resources. Much of the school’s technology is outdated and not fit for purpose to deliver the National Curriculum requirements. The school has earmarked some funds, but there is not enough for what is needed. Neville’s Cross’s parents, teachers and friends are working towards raising the funds needed to give pupils IT resources that support learning and creativity.
What have PTA funds been spent on?
The money raised by the PTA has been spent on a number of projects to improve school life, including a climbing frame, bike racks, a parent’s shelter and water bottles. The PTA also runs lots of fun events for children, including treat days, discos and summer and Christmas fairs.
In 2018 PTA raised £60,000 and built a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) which was built in the school field adjacent to the climbing frames and play equipment.
