The school funding formula is generated to include financial provision to specifically support pupils’ individual special needs. This funding is prioritised to tailor learning to ensure progress is continually made by all children with a SEND.
How is funding used
Any additional funding secured by the school to support individual children is devolved carefully. This is used in a variety of ways including; in class additional support either 1-1 or small group, offering additional interventions, purchasing equipment or resources recommended by other agencies and staff training.
Costed Provision Maps
At Neville’s Cross Primary School, for those pupils with High Needs and who receive additional funding from the Local Authority, Costed Provision Maps are created with detailed evidence of supporting resources provided in school and to demonstrate how the funding is being used in school. Progress of the child is closely monitored by the SENCo in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the support and interventions being delivered. This information is shared with the parents and the child, where appropriate.
If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
