Admissions

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the current unprecedented circumstances we are facing, we are unable to carry out open days in school. However please look below to see a video of our school, which we hope will support you in making your school choices.

Reception 2021

The current admission limit set for Reception intake, September 2021, is 42 children.  The local authority oversee all admission arrangements for our school including admission arrangements for children with SEN or disabilities.

Please open the document below to see details of online question and answer sessions for prospective parents of children starting Reception in September 2021.

  • Prospective Parent Q & A Online Sessions

For admission to Reception in September 2021, you must apply online using the Parent Portal on Durham County Council’s website.  Anyone who applied for a place prior to September 2016 will need to create an account. This is the quickest way to apply and you’ll receive immediate confirmation that your application has been submitted. We encourage you to apply online wherever possible as a number of DCC staff are working from home due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Applications close at midnight on Friday 15 January 2021

Visit the Durham County Council website for information regarding the school admission process and primary school admissions.

To appeal against an admission decision visit: School admissions-appeals.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.

Nursery 2020/2021

The school oversees all admission arrangements for our governor led school nursery.  Our nursery admission limit is set at 26 children per session.  This means that we can admit more than 26 children across different patterns of attendance.  Admission forms can be found online.  If you are thinking about applying for a nursery place, please complete the online admission form and return to Mrs Ferguson.  Unfortunately, we are unable to host visit days due to current Covid restrictions, however, please enjoy our video introduction and a story read by Miss Suggate from the Nursery below.
